Ledger Crypto Wallet Review
This is a good alternative to Trezors. Ledger is the second biggest player in the hardware wallet space(Trezor is #1). They kinda gave the bottom of the market to Trezor, and instead focused on creating higher end products.
They have 4 versions.
Ledger Nano S Plus is $79 and is your basic crypto wallet. This competes with Trezor Safe 3. It also has the chip and honestly these are very similar. Personally I find Trezor Safe 3 to be easier to use. Also keep in mind this one is Android only. So if you have an iPhone you need to upgrade to the Nano X.
Ledger Nano X is $149 and is basically a supercharged version of Nano S Plus, it adds Bluetooth functionality, a 5 hour battery and ability to use it with an iPhone. Essentially this is the best wallet if you plan to use your wallet exclusively with your phone.
These 2 were the entry level wallets, which I'd say fall short of Trezor offerings, next 2, are the vanity wallets that definitely outperform Trezors and have a better UX and they try to answer the age old question...if money is no object, what is the best crypto wallet you can make.
Ledger Flex is double the size of the Nanos, and costs $249. It has an e-ink touchscreen, has an NFC chip, has an aluminum frame, a gorilla glass cover and sound feedback. It's battery will also last 10 hours instead of 5. Frankly this is overkill for most people, but if money is no object...this is the one I recommend.
The Ledger Stax is actually more expensive at $399...but I still recommend the Flex due to the shatter resistant gorilla glass. That said, it is definitely nicer looking thanks to its curved touch screen, an extra inch of length, wireless charging and anti-glare coating.
Overall, any of these wallets will do the job and keep your coins safe.
